custom foot orthotics for plantar fasciitisSo the podiatrist called and my appointment was today. My custom orthotics arrived and are ready and waiting for me to try on. Very simple appointment, he put them in my shoes and I walked out!

Boy do they feel strange at first. However I did notice that I could walk without feeling any pain! That feeling was amazing. They will take a little getting used to. So the doc’s instructions were to wear them for 1 hour the first day, 2 hours the second day, 4 hourse the next day and 8 the next. By that time, feet should be comfortable and used to the orthotics.

So far my experience is good. What is your experiences?

  1. apainintheheel – I’m really glad you are seeing the benefits of orthotics. There are many types of foot conditions that can benefit from the use of orthotics. Orthotics are often custom made and as well as treating foot conditions they can also be manufactured for your chosen sporting activity.
Good luck with the orthotics and I hope your plantar fasciitis continues to improve.
